Application Requirements

In order to apply to the annual SINET 16 Innovator Award program, companies must:

  1. Be a cybersecurity “product” company (not services only).
  2. Be completely autonomous (not part of a larger entity).
  3. Have annual revenues of $15 Million dollars or less.
  4. Not have been selected as a SINET 16 Innovator more than once previously.

SINET 16 Innovator Award Timeline – 2017:

  • April 20, 2017 – SINET 16 application process opens.
  • June 20, 2017 – SINET 16 Innovator application process will close. No applications will be accepted after this date.  Round One evaluations begin.
  • August 212017 – Round Two evaluations begin and the 64 companies that have been selected to advance will be notified.
  • September 26, 2017 – This year’s SINET 16 Innovators will be announced and they will be notified that they have been selected to present on stage at the 2017 SINET Showcase in Washington, DC.
  • October 16th – 20th, 2017– All SINET 16 companies will receive free coaching on their presentation skills in either Rosslyn, VA or in Menlo Park, CA. (This coaching is complimentary but mandatory in order to maximize the presenter’s six minutes on stage.)
  • November 9, 2017 – Winners will present at the 2016 SINET Showcase in Washington, D.C. SINET 16 Innovators will also have an opportunity to meet with interested parties at their booth throughout the day and during the two- hour evening reception.


How to Apply

SINET 16 submissions for the 2016 award have closed.
We will begin accepting 2017 applications on April 20th 2017.
