Abstract: Ransomware poses an existential threat to organizations of all sizes in any vertical, and attacks continue to be extremely lucrative with demands and recovery costs bleeding organizations for millions of dollars. Ransomware-as-a-Service (RaaS) and other operators are implementing novel evasion techniques into their payloads specifically designed to evade or completely circumvent traditional endpoint protection solutions. The ransomware problem continues to grow exponentially, and leadership at organizations are challenged with how best to deal with both preparing to defend against attacks as well as what to do to protect the organization after a successful attack.
