Join an expert panel discussion as we consider two different perspectives on managing our application security effectively across our product delivery teams.

Application security is a multi-faceted problem. It involves assessing the application perimeter, application code, and application data across a wide range of vulnerabilities, personas, and attack patterns. No wonder we have so many application security tools today that all claim to make us more secure. Each tool focuses on a niche area.

The question which still remains relevant today is, “Are we truly more secure with all these application security tools?” There are two schools of thought around this. One group believes that our application security tools are indeed helping us become more secure. Reports from these tools show us that we are reducing the number of vulnerabilities over time. However, another group questions the fundamental underlying assumptions. How can we know whether we are truly secure unless there is some way to summarize all the findings from all our application tools in a meaningful and insightful way?
