Adam S. Lee is Dominion Energy’s vice president and chief security officer.

He directs the development and implementation of corporate security strategy and policies which protect the company’s physical and cyber assets, valued at $100 billion and spanning 18 states. He is Dominion Energy’s security and intelligence liaison with the U.S. government and federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies. Lee joined the company in this role in 2018.

Before joining Dominion Energy, Lee served as Special Agent in Charge of the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s Richmond Division. In 2018, he retired from the FBI after a career spanning 22 years in counter-terrorism, counter-intelligence, and cyber investigations and operations, in addition to specializing in cases involving political and governmental corruption, the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, and antitrust violations. Lee previously served as the FBI’s executive over its national Public Corruption Program, overseeing the FBI’s most sensitive criminal investigations involving elected and appointed officials across the spectrum of government.

Prior to this position, she served as a National Cyber Protection Team Lead at United States Cyber Command, the Military Assistant/Cyber Advisor to the Under Secretary of the Army; Chief of Staff to the Director of Office of Net Assessment, Office of the Secretary of Defense; and a Strategic Planner for Cyberspace Policy Division within the Joint Staff J5.

Previously, she served in a variety of command and staff positions in the U.S. Army, to include second-in-command (operations) of the 782D Military Intelligence (Cyber) Battalion, a start-up unit that she helped form from 20 to over 450 persons to conduct full-spectrum cyberspace operations in support of joint force commanders. Tactically, Nadine commanded a special mission unit in Iraq which provided Signals Intelligence (SIGINT) Terminal Guidance to the Brigade Combat Team (BCT) Commanders in Iraq. Additionally, Nadine served as an Aide-de-Camp to the Deputy Chief of Staff for Intelligence, Multi National Forces – Iraq. Operationally, Nadine deployed to Afghanistan as the Officer-in-Charge for the Real Time – Regional Gateway (RT-RG) providing National to Tactical collection capability. Strategically, Nadine served as a cyber liaison officer to the Director of Intelligence for Partner Engagement at the Office of the Director of National Intelligence where she led an initiative to educate stakeholders and increase information sharing between government and private sector partners; ultimately, gaining concurrence for a concept of operations that facilitated information sharing.

A Madison Policy Forum fellow. A graduate of the Eisenhower School. She earned a M.B.A from the University of Maryland , UC and a BA in English/Journalism from Morgan State University. She is a graduate of the Junior Officer Cryptologic Career Program, a SIGINT/Cyber immersion fellowship at the National Security Agency. Her combat service includes Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom (Afghanistan).

Ken comes from the cyber security realm, with a vast set of experiences both within the military and corporate environment. In his role as senior advisor, Ken brings deep sector and operating experience, focused within the data science and information assurance verticals.

Over the past 2 decades, Ken has been part of the founding teams of three silicon valley cyber security companies, Silent Circle, Blackphone, and Onyara.

He was also the President of the International Cyber Security Protection Alliance, a globally recognized and UK government backed organization, focused on cyber security governance and regulatory reform. He held 2 senior executive leadership positions at both Unisys and CGI corporation, and has been a strategic advisor to some of the most recognizable names in cyber security including FireEye, Mandiant, and Dragos. In his last 2 roles he held a senior advisory role at Datatribe and was the managing director and co founder of Kyvr Connect, a Canadian cyber security VC.

Ken served proudly in the Canadian Armed forces in Special Operations Forces – 2 Commando, PPCLI – for over 12 years in both peace and wartime operations throughout the world. He has deep ties within the Intelligence and Special Forces community throughout the globe.

Ken has an engineering background in telecommunications and computer networking, as well as a Masters degree in Business Administration in finance and leadership from Royal Roads University in Victoria, B.C.
