SINET Events

It is all about relationships... We fervently believe that innovation is accelerated when the security community - composed of buyers, builders, researchers and investors - collaborate together on addressing global cyber security threats. Purposely intimate, always stimulating, and first-class in every respect, SINET events are trust based and provide a unique opportunity for security community participants to make valuable connections while gaining new perspectives on critical security issues.

The IT Security Entrepreneurs' Forum (ITSEF) held at Stanford University connects the Federal Government to Silicon Valley. It is a place where security entrepreneurs can interface directly with top government agency and industry officials in a comfortable setting for informal conversations. Where a dialogue can begin that will lead towards the development of trust based relationships and the creation of win - win situations that are mutually beneficial. Our objective is to advance innovation through collaboration models.

The SINET Showcase held in Washington DC, is designed to identify and present the most innovative security companies that are addressing industry and government needs and requirements. Our audience consists of investors, researchers and industry and government buyers. The SINET Showcase advisory committee consists of fifty subject matter experts from industry, government, investment banking, academia, science, and venture capital. The committee will select twenty companies from a field of more than 150 applicants so they may present their technology among some of the largest buyers in the world.

The SINET Innovation Summit held at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology is designed to explore open innovation models, embrace collaboration and reinvigorate the importance of public private partnership research efforts between industry, government and academia.  Building communities of interest and trust are critical to advancing the security field and ultimately protecting our country's economic and national security interests. This summit is designed to provide a platform where industry, academic and government practitioners can share their hard problems and solutions with the research community and vice versa.

SINET Workshops provide security entrepreneurs with critical knowledge from people who matter. Held in conjunction with both the ITSEF and SINET Showcase, each workshop offers expert insight from industry and government officials, venture capitalists, leading researchers, and successful entrepreneurs. There is no comparable opportunity to learn how to navigate the Federal sector and to get the financing and professional services needed to win.

About SINET

The Security Innovation Network™ (SINET) was created with seed funding from the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation and the Department of Homeland Security Science & Technology Directorate. SINET's "IT Security Entrepreneurs' Forum" hosted at Stanford University and the SINET Showcase in Washington DC, have become one of the most powerful 'must attend' conduits for bringing together security experts, researchers, government leaders, technology innovators, investment bankers and venture capitalist to address the intractable and urgent issues surrounding cyber security.

SINET has become a catalyst, connecting individuals and organizations involved with the technical, strategic, legal, economic, and policy aspects of cyber crime. It has built a community of thought leaders in positions of influence who are seeking to collaborate as a single strategic ecosystem to form a unified approach to cyber security.

Founded by Robert D. Rodriguez, a retired U.S. Secret Service Agent and CSO Magazine 2009 Compass Leader Award winner.
