How the SINET16 Innovators are Selected
Each year, the SINET16 Innovators are evaluated and selected by an esteemed SINET Judging Committee, which consists of over 100 industry experts. Companies are selected based on cumulative scoring associated with:
- The urgency in the marketplace for their products and solutions
- How innovative and unique their solutions are
- How well their products and technologies solve real and significant cybersecurity problems
- What advantages exist over other solutions
- The companies’ ability to succeed based on the state of their product, capital, and leadership
For very early stage or small companies, specific business plans describing future growth will be a component of the evaluation.
SINET16 Innovator Award Timeline 2023

- May 1, 2023 – SINET16 Innovator award application process opens.
- June 20, 2023 – SINET16 Innovator application process closes. No applications will be accepted after June 20, 2023.
- June 22, 2023 – SINET begins Round One evaluations. This round will determine which companies advance to Round Two.
- July 30, 2023 – SINET begins Round Two evaluations. This final judging round will ultimately select the 16 companies that will receive the SINET16 Innovator award.
- July 30, 2023 – Companies will be informed if they have proceeded to Round 2
- September 7, 2023 – SINET16 Innovator award winners will be announced live on LinkedIn. Sign up here.
