Advancing Innovation Through Collaboration

The Security Exchange (SE) which blossomed out of the ITSEF will provide an automated communication mechanism through a database of over 1,200 early stage and emerging IT security solutions for commercial and government end users. This clearinghouse "dating service" will assist in the rapid identification, assessment and dissemination of knowledge of readily available security solutions that could support our nation's critical infrastructure sectors and command and control operating systems. By increasing the awareness of "best of class" security solutions and enabling a "larger tool box" to select from we are better positioned to protect our nation with larger capabilities of unique offensive and defensive tools. These platforms and associated social networks will accelerate the transfer process of innovative solutions into actual integration and adoption.

The various functions of the SE communication portal will enable commercial and government end users to more effectively and efficiently match relative requirements with perspective providers and increase knowledge of solutions available otherwise missed. The SE will need to identify an existing secure portal, make the necessary adjustments so that it fits the needs of the SINET and associated sponsors.
