SINET Showcase Hosts Executive Panels to Emphasize Collaboration as Key to Fighting Cybersecurity Threats
Teaming Industry, Academia, VCs, Entrepreneurs Builds Powerful Defense
San Francisco, California (September 29, 2010) - The Security Innovation Network™ (SINET), an organization focused on advancing Cybersecurity innovation through public-private collaboration, will present two high-level panel discussions on the importance of advancing innovation through open and new collaborative models. These panel discussions will take place at the SINET Showcase on October 27.
"We all have a vested interest in defeating the global security threat. It is crucial that we embrace collaborative models that increase the awareness between the builders, buyers, researchers and investors in the Cybersecurity field. Our nation needs to support innovative entrepreneurs and small business who are a vital component in overcoming Cybersecurity challenges," stressed Robert Rodriguez, Founder and Chairman of SINET. "The SINET Showcase is about increasing awareness of and opportunity for collaboration and building communities of interest."
Panel 1: "Call to Action: Entrepreneurs and Cyber Security, The Way – Ahead," at 10:45 AM - 11:40 AM will be moderated by Robert Ackerman; Founder and Managing Director of Allegis Capital.

The discussion will focus on the opportunities, challenges and state of the security market. The security venture capitalists will share what they see as the most promising and not-so-promising sectors today and talk about what it takes to build a successful company in these turbulent times.
Panel 1:"The Next Generation of Innovation: Building Global Collaborative Entrepreneurial Networks,"at 2:40 PM - 3:35 PM will be moderated by Dean DeBiase, Founder and Chairman of Reboot Partners.

The panel will highlight collaborative networks between big and small organizations, private-public partnerships and other creative approaches that you can use to drive entrepreneurial innovation and growth in your organization today.
Other highlights of the SINET Showcase include respected thought leaders from industry, government, academia and entrepreneurial and investment communities who will present their experiences and thoughts on the topics of innovation and entrepreneurship. Moderated by distinguished leaders in investment and industry circles, these forums will be held during the SINET Workshop and Showcase on October 26 and 27 in Washington, D.C. And, presentations of innovative technologies by 20 emerging companies selected by an esteemed steering and vetting committee.
The SINET Showcase will be held on October 27 beginning at 8:30 a.m. The half-day SINET Workshops on October 26 will run from 1:00-5:30 p.m. Both the SINET Showcase and the Workshops are being held at the National Press Club, Washington, D.C.
