Will Anderson is the Deputy Associate General Counsel (Science and Technology) and Intellectual Property Counsel for the Department of Homeland Security His primary practice focus is intellectual property, technology transfer, acquisition, and various operational matters.

Will has worked in both the private and public sectors with a focus on intellectual property law and insurance defense litigation. From 1989 to 1997 and from 2003 to 2005, he served as Intellectual Property Counsel with the U.S. Army Communications-Electronics Command (CECOM). From 1997 to 2003, Will was an Associate General Counsel (Acquisition), Office of the General Counsel, Department of the Air Force.

Prior to his public service, Will was an insurance defense litigator with the firms of Israel and Wood in Pittsburgh and Campbell, Foley, Lee, Murphy and Cernigliaro in Asbury Park, New Jersey.

Will is a member of the bars of Pennsylvania, New Jersey, the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, and the United States Supreme Court. He is registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.

Will received a B.S. degree from Tufts University in 1984 and a J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law in 1988.
