Peter Gouldmann is the Chief of Systems Authorization within the Department of State’s Office of Information Assurance. In this position, he is responsible for directing risk management and certification and accreditation activities for national security and other systems department-wide.

Peter’s federal experience includes 20 years with the Department of State and four years with the United States Air Force. Over these 24 years, he has worked in nearly every capacity of telecommunications and computer systems, both classified and unclassified. In addition, he has held positions in private sector including Director of Channel Quality and Security for Thomson Prometric, and technology-related positions for other companies.

Peter holds a B.S. in Management from National-Louis University, and is a distinguished graduate of the National Defense University’s Advanced Management Program, where he was awarded the Federal CIO certificate.
