Jason Hoffman Director of Information Security Assurance Kaiser Permanente

Jason Hoffman is Kaiser Permanente’s Director of Information Security Assurance. He is responsible for development and delivery of Kaiser’s Information Security Risk Management Framework and related standards, best practices, and associated policies and procedures. Jason has more than 16 years of experience in security, information technology, and audit. Prior to joining Kaiser Permanente, he served as Vice President and Information Security Officer of Greater Bay Bank, N.A. He has also held security and audit positions at VeriSign, Inc., Wells Fargo Bank and the University of California, San Francisco. Jason is one of the founders of Team for Research in Ubiquitous Secure Technology (TRUST), working to create a college-level IT security curriculum that would bring information security education and awareness from the boardroom to the classroom. In 2006, he was the recipient of the Information Security Executive of the Year West People’s Choice Award, a selected finalist in the Information Security Executive of the Year West Award and nominated for the Information Security Executive of the Year National Award. Jason is a certified CISM, CISSP, CISA, CIA. He graduated from the University of California, Santa Cruz with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Legal Studies.
