GSA, Deputy Regional Administrator,
Assistant Regional Administrator Federal Supply Service and Federal Technology Service
Gary Casteel serves as the Deputy Regional Administrator and the Assistant Regional Administrator (ARA) for both the Federal Supply Service (FSS) and the Federal Technology Service (FTS) in GSA's Northwest/Arctic Region.

Gary began his GSA career in 1966 with the Northwest/Arctic Region’s FSS organization, rising steadily upward through various leadership roles until being appointed its ARA in 1996. In 2002, he was appointed to an additional leadership role as the ARA for FTS, and in February 2006 he was also appointed as the Deputy Regional Administrator, a triple leadership role unique throughout GSA's 11 regions. Gary has been the recipient of numerous professional awards, including the GSA Distinguished Service Award (1989), which is GSA’s highest individual recognition.

GSA’s Federal Supply Service (FSS) provides federal customers with the products, services, and programs to meet their supply, service, procurement, vehicle purchasing and leasing, travel and transportation, and personal property management requirements. The mission of GSA’s Federal Technology Service (FTS) is to deliver best value and innovative acquisition solutions for Information Technology (IT), Network Services (telecommunications), and Professional Services to support government agency requirements worldwide.

The Northwest/Arctic Region oversees the GSA’s programs and services delivered in Alaska, Idaho, Oregon, and Washington, as well as select offerings to clients in other states.
