Charlie Rice has spent his entire career in the technology industry, working in software development, consulting and investment banking. Charlie is a co-founder and principal at East Peak Advisors, a licensed investment banking firm that advises technology companies on mergers and acquisitions and growth financing. Charlie has been focused on the IT security sector for several years. He is frequently quoted by IT security press and publications and has authored numerous security-related articles. Prior to co-founding East Peak Advisors, Charlie was an associate in the Technology Investment Banking Division of Credit Suisse First Boston (CSFB), where he worked on priority client accounts such as Microsoft and Cisco Systems. Charlie has also worked for Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette (DLJ), where he was responsible for the analysis of various equity, M&A advisory and private placement transactions for numerous technology companies. Prior to DLJ, Charlie was a senior consultant in the Advanced Technology and Financial Markets divisions of Andersen's Business Consulting Group. Charlie received a B.A. from the University of California, Santa Barbara. He holds Series 7 and 63 securities licenses.
