Richard Hale

Richard Hale is the Chief Information Assurance Executive at the Defense Information Systems Agency. In this position he oversees all Information Assurance activities at DISA. In particular, Mr. Hale is responsible for coordinating the design and implementation of a defense-in-depth strategy across the DISA-managed information infrastructure and for the command and control systems and electronic commerce systems that DISA develops for the rest of the Department of Defense.

From 1981 to 1998, Mr. Hale worked at the Naval Research Laboratory where he participated in the design, analysis, and construction of a variety of Navy and Department of Defense information and communication systems.

Mr. Hale holds Bachelor's degrees in Applied Mathematics and Electrical Engineering and a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, all from the University of Virginia.
