Mark Ferrone is the Global Content Manager for Cisco Live & Networkers (www.ciscolive.com), Cisco’s premier customer and partner IT and communications conferences. He directs cross-functional teams to develop comprehensive educational programming that addresses the company’s entire product and technology portfolio.
Mark joined Cisco in 2006 as a corporate public relations manager focused on international media relations, directing communications of corporate related news and business affairs and managing visibility opportunities for Cisco executives. He also managed locally focused media programs regionally throughout the United States. Prior to his current role on the Cisco Live and Networkers management team, Mark directed joint Cisco-customer communications campaign programs across market segments.
Prior to joining Cisco, Mark spent five years at Symbol Technologies in various communications roles of increasing responsibility. As a senior public relations manager, he oversaw communication programs to promote the company’s enterprise mobility and wireless networking product portfolio and managed customer reference programs. Mark also managed analyst relations for Symbol’s Wireless Systems Division and served as one of the company’s representatives on the Wi-Fi Alliance.
Earlier in his career, Mark directed client work at public relations agencies focused on business and technology communications. He was an Account Director at Brodeur Worldwide in San Jose, California and an International Account Manager at Cosmo Public Relations in Tokyo, Japan. Mark resided in Japan for seven years and speaks Japanese.
Mark received his BSc in Finance from San Diego State University and MBA from Santa Clara University, Leavey School of Business (Executive Program). He also studied in Tokyo at Aoyama Gakuin University, School of International Politics, Economics and Business, completing a one-year academic program focused on Japanese and international business.
