Bill Kalogeros

Bill Kalogeros began his career proudly serving in the United States Army from 1981-1985 as an Army Ranger and Arctic Paratrooper. He brings more than 20 years of overall High Tech solution selling and management experience that includes leadership roles with alliance and partner development teams and industry/consortium working groups and is currently the Director, DOD and Intelligence Sales for TippingPoint Technologies.

At Bivio Networks, Mr. Kalogeros launched and brought Bivio’s Federal group from a zero revenue start to over $5M annual revenue run rate after the first 24 months. He was responsible for delivering the largest PO in company history for a large DOD customer for $3.9M in the first 18 months and supported the creation for the next generation sensor concept for the DOD known as the Enterprise Collaborative Operating Sensor (ECOS) platform.

Prior to Bivio Networks, Mr. Kalogeros was DoD/Intelligence Manager for Guidance Software, Western Region Sales and Government Manager for Finjan Software and Western Area Vice President for F-Secure software. As employee number three at surfCONTROL, Mr. Kalogeros was responsible for successfully ramping up East Coast, Channel and Federal sales operations, which strongly contributed to the company’s successful public offering on the AIM market in London and became an industry leader in web content management and security.

Mr. Kalogeros has also held senior-level sales positions at GE Comstor, Cisco Federal, Bay Networks Federal and MicroAccess, Inc. In addition to his startup experience (including a successful 8(a) manufacturer), Mr. Kalogeros works closely with leading industry prime contractors: BAE, Lockheed-Martin, Northrop Grumman, NCI Information Systems and General Dynamics capturing large government contract opportunities. His security industry experience has allowed him to brief Members of the US Senate and House, DISA, Canada Department of National Defense and the Transportation Security Administration regarding information assurance, defense-in-depth technologies and new technologies addressing Homeland Security requirements.

Mr. Kalogeros has spoken at numerous government and commercial conferences in the US and Europe, to include RSA, LinuxWorld and the 2007 Techno Security Conference speaking on Platforms for Secure Military Networks and the impact of IPv6, as well as a contributed articles and Podcast to LinuxWorld Magazine: A Network Appliance Platform for Linux Applications for the US Department of Defense.

Bill works with companies looking to enter the federal market, as well as those that are looking to revamp existing federal and public sector sales channels.
