Security Innovation Network (SINET) Expands to Create "The SINET Group" with Appointment of Prominent Cybersecurity Executives and Announcement of Member Program and Advisory Services
Reveals research findings of the most innovative and potentially disruptive cybersecurity technologies
San Francisco, Calif. and Washington, D.C. - October 26, 2011 - The Security Innovation NetworkTM (SINET), an organization focused on the advancement of cybersecurity innovation through public-private collaboration, has expanded to create "The SINET Group" which includes a new Member Program and Advisory Services. The group also announced the appointment of two new principals, Robert Lentz, Former Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Cyber Information Assurance, and Richard "Dick" Schaeffer, Former Information Assurance Director for the National Security Agency (NSA).
"We are honored to have these two internationally recognized cyber leaders join The SINET Group. Their respective contributions to cybersecurity innovation are renowned in both the federal government and industry sectors and will help take SINET to a new level of influence," said Robert Rodriguez, Chairman and Managing Principal, SINET.
In addition, The SINET Group also revealed today preliminary findings from its "State of Cyber Innovation" research (see below). The research is conducted by The SINET Group on a continual basis and is based on data that is collected and analyzed from SINET events and the SINET 16 Innovator application evaluation process. The team translates these findings to identify emerging trends, sectors and the companies best positioned to impact those trends for consideration by the broader cybersecurity community.
The SINET Group Member Program and Advisory Services
The new Member Program connects key stakeholders within the cybersecurity ecosystem in order give members new information services and community building tools - assisting their efforts in accelerating cyber innovation and improving national security. Members benefit from ongoing networking opportunities with industry leaders; participation in industry research projects; access to the SINET Exchange, a comprehensive online community platform; as well as discounts for SINET events and promotion in materials.
The new Advisory Services provide assistance to technology companies with product strategy, positioning, channel development and business development activities.
