Kipling in his "Ballad of East and West" wrote his famous starting line:
OH, East is East, and West is West, and never the twain shall meet. Although geographic points of the compass will never meet, people with innovative ideas and new models will.
The Model:
The need for collaboration between industry and the research community cannot be overstated. The risks are too great and the adversaries are out innovating us. Open and collaborative models are crucial to protecting our nation's IT critical infrastructures. Please join us as we provide an opportunity for dialogue between industry and academia on how and where the research community can assist corporations with their most pressing challenges. The sharing of information with real world experiences is extremely valuable to the academic community who are looking for challenges they can solve. Partnering the practical with the theoretical on common goals can lead to great results.
